Get Data Insights

This page provides step-by-step instructions on how to derive actionable data insights from DeFI protocols.

1. Head to Alterscope homepage and log in using your credentials.

Note: If you haven't signed up yet, please refer to the signup instructions.

1. Upon logging in, you will be directed to the Alterscope dashboard, where you can find a comprehensive list of DeFi projects under Top Scores and Projects section. Refer to the screenshot below.

For a better understanding of terms under Projects section in screenshot above, consider the following explanations:

• Name: This refers to the name of a DeFi Token.

• Chains: Name of the blockchain on which DeFi project operates.

• Category: In this context, "category" may denote a blockchain chain or protocol.

• TVL (Total Value Locked): TVL is a crucial metric in the cryptocurrency sector, quantifying the total U.S. dollar value of digital assets secured or staked on a specific blockchain network through decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms.

• TVL Chart: The TVL (Total Value Locked) Chart provides a visual representation of the total value of assets locked or staked by a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol over a week.

• Trading Volume: Trading Volume refers to the total number of units traded of a specific protocol within a specific period.

• Score: Alterscope calculates an overall score by assessing various factors, including decentralization, social engagement, development, tokenomics, liquidity, and security. To know how the overall score is calculated check here.

1. To access more detailed information about a specific DeFi project, such as AAVE, click on the project's name. The selected project (such as AAVE) is highlighted in screenshot below:

4. After clicking on a specific DeFi project the information will be categorized into five tabs in the upper left corner under the Overview Tab. Click on the screenshot below for reference. The description for five tabs is provided below.

1. Summary Tab: This tab provides a concise summary or overview of the blockchain protocol or chain, including its recent activities.

2. Security Tab: This tab provides a concise summary of security information of the blockchain protocol or chain.

3. Liquidity Tab: This tab details the liquidity aspects of the blockchain protocol or chain, offering insights into its financial stability.

4. Community Tab: The community tab provides insights into the blockchain protocol or chain's social engagement and user base.

5. Governance Tab: The governance tab contains information about the project's governance structure and decision-making processes.
