Governance Tab

This page provides details about governance tab mentioned under Overview of Alterscope App.

The Governance tab is listed under Overview tab on upper left when a user clicks on specific DeFi project. See the screenshot below for reference.

Components of Governance Tab

Here is a breakthrough of what information is listed under the Governance Tab. The information is categorised into the following sections.

• Governance Data

• Governance Activity

• Governance Score

Details about each section is provided below with screenshots.

Governance Data

This section provides information related to governance structure of a decentralized system or organization through various parameters.

• For more information on a specific parameter click on its (i) button. The (i) button is highlighted in black box in screenshot below for reference.

Governance Activity

This section contains essential governance parameters information as comparison charts across time intervals(7 days and 1 Month). See screenshot below for reference.

Monthly Proposals Chart: A graph chart comparing active vs closed vs total proposals across different time intervals(7 days and 1 month). Time intervals can be switched between 7days and 1 month using the 7D and 1M buttons on the upper right(see screenshot above). Voter Participation Rate: A visual representation depicting the voter participation rate across different time intervals (7 days and 1 month). Time intervals can be switched between 7days and 1 month using the 7D and 1M buttons on the upper right(see screenshot above).

Governance Score

This section displays the following parameters: Governance Score: The latest governance score is displayed(out of 100) . For additional details regarding the calculation of the governance score, please refer to the guide here.

Score History: The governance score history chart provides a visual representation of governance scores over a week. See screenshot below for reference:

Governance Score

The overall governance score is determined based on the assessment of the categories listed above.

Type: Percentage

Range: [0, 100]

Maximum Supply

Definition: This is the maximum number of the tokens that will be existing throughout the token lifecycle

Type: Integer

Range: [0, ∞)

Circulating Supply

Definition: Total number of tokens that are available on the market.

Type: Integer

Range: [0, ∞)

Num Holders

Definition: Total number of token holders.

Type: Integer

Range: [0, ∞)

Fifty Percent Holders

Definition: Number of people holding the 50% of the total circulating supply. Higher value is an indicator of a more decentralization.

Type: Integer

Range: [0, ∞)

Daily New Holders

Definition: Number of new people added or removed from the token number of token holders.

Type: Integer

Range: (-∞, ∞)

Total Unique Users

Definition: The unique users holding a wallet. If there are multiple addresses belonging to same user, only 1 address is counted for that user.

Type: Integer

Range: [0, ∞)

Daily Unique Users

Definition: Daily number of unique users. If there are multiple addresses belonging to same user, only 1 address is counted for that user.

Type: Integer

Range: [0, ∞)

Voter Distribution

Definition: This refers to the distribution of tokens among the top 5 holders. Higher concentration among a few large holders may indicate lower circulation and liquidity.

Type: Float

Range: [0, ∞)

Proposal Distribution

Definition: The total number of token holders.

Type: Integer

Range: [0, ∞)

Participation Coefficient

Definition: This refers to the degree of price fluctuation of the token over a 24 hours period. Higher volatility indicates higher risk of price instability.
